Bridge to Grace Church is about people. Our mission is simply to love God, love people, and serve the world one life at a time.
People of Grace.
Life is about people and relationship. When we are disconnected from the Source of our being, we are disconnected from ourselves and from others- living fragmented lives. Bridge to Grace takes seriously the brokenness experienced by every human being. And we are committed to bringing the healing and wholeness that comes from being restored to Gods image imprinted on our souls.
In the time of the early church, "ekklesia" was not a destination, it was a group of people who were called out of the culture to live a different way, to talk a different talk; they were called out to live in love. Transformational love- Gods love - changes everything.
Process of Grace.
For Jesus "the process" was a part of life. He called people to be his disciples; as they followed Him, they experienced love, truth and grace- we call this discipleship. Growth is not instantaneous. Its a process and a way of life. Bridge to Grace church is part of a historic tradition of faith that dates back to the reformation, with strong biblical foundations, and we draw on that richness to help each person discover Gods grace!
Our Journey
Bridge to Grace Church began in November, 1982 as North Atlanta Community Church, a mission of the Reformed Church in America.
The first Sunday Service was held in founding pastor Lu Ratmeyer's den, with 15 people in attendance Over the next five years congregants met in a country club, a park's recreational facility, a local arts center, and a commercial office. The current church building was dedicated in November, 1987 and has been hosting Sunday morning worship ever since.
